I have no life in me, no colour in my cheeks,
no blood in my veins.
It's time I left.
All my friends are gone, my whole family is down under,
on the cold ground.
I'm still holding on, with the last bits of my strength,
a string of life and hope.
But it's time I left.
So I let it go.
I start falling, I dance in the wind,
I twirl and drop, drop, drop ...
And then I stop.
I slowly lie down, on the ground
with my friends.
And I wait for the first snow
to cover me like a cold blanket.
But I feel no cold. I don't feel a thing,
for a long time now.
A dry leaf.
